Haverfordwest Ladies Choir
On Thursday 6th October the Haverfordwest Ladies Choir set off to Kent to sing at two venues in Faversham.
The following Friday morning, the choir sang to the residents of Waterstone Place, where an aunt of the choir's treasurer resides. The informal concert was enthusiastically received, and choir members were made to feel very welcome.
In the evening the venue was the Faversham Gospel Mission.
Here the choir sang a selection of songs from around the world, including two Welsh favourites
'Calon Lan' and 'Suo Gan'.
Also taking part, and in a completely different style, was a group called Labyrinth, who sang a selection of lively songs including 'Made from Real Ingredients', accompanied by guitar, percussion and flute.
At the end both groups received a standing ovation!

One of the ladies in the audience, on a visit form Bath, had seen members of the choir in Faversham that afternoon and had decided to attend the concert as she was originally a Haverfordwest girl.
Mary Kinslow, bottom right in photograph, lived in Haverfordwest until the age of 18, and still has family members there. A few of the choir members knew the family, and Mary was absolutely delighted to meet them.
The concert raised over £250.00 for Fynvola Care Home, a home for elderly disabled people.
